Australia Day at Maroondah Reservoir Park

Beautiful weather and a nice line-up of cars. About 30 people took the opportunity to enjoy the surroundings and socialise.

Club Swap Meet

A successful day today for the swap meet! I counted about 30 members in attendance, with lots of parts changing hands. There was plenty of socialising and the weather was great – although slightly windy. The BBQ lunch was delicious and it was fantastic to see 5 T’s there. Thanks to all who attended, and special thanks to those who contributed in one way or another.

We’re on Facebook

The MTFCV is now on Facebook. The group page is called “Model T Ford Club of Victoria“.

This is a private group. You’ll need to answer a few simple questions to request membership.

This group is primarily for members of the Model T Ford Club of Victoria, but we also welcome interstate and international Model T enthusiasts to join and participate.

With this group we hope to share photos and have friendly discussions about what members and friends have been up to with their Model Ts.

If you are on Facebook, visit the page and join the group! We hope to see you there.

Today a group of members gathered at Maroondah Reservoir Park for a relaxed and enjoyable picnic lunch. A hot day, but a lot of fun!

Farewell Ian Barber

Yesterday at Ian’s funeral there was a strong show of support from the various clubs he was involved in, including the T Club. Speeches by representatives of each club told of Ian’s enthusiasm, humour, and easy going nature. The clubs Ian enjoyed so much in his life were represented on his coffin, and his Model T and Bedford truck were parked outside. Ian was transported to his final resting place on the Bedford. A fitting send-off for a colourful character.

We’re back!

Its been a quiet 12 months due to Covid19, but today we held our swap meet which had been postponed since October last year. Fine weather, great attendance, plenty of rust changing hands, and lots of chatting and catching up with other members. What a great way to spend the last day of summer!
